Benji's Studio

I make simple but beautiful websites by hand, including this very site!

• My sites use simple HTML/CSS, which makes them quick-to-load and inherently desktop/mobile-compatible
• Other examples: MIDLAND.GUIDE and MQA

I have been doing graphic design work since I was in high school. Currently, graphic design makes up some of my day job, and on the side I do graphic design for certain organizations. Additionally, I work on educational booklets about the environment as ways to further improve my skills.

My conservation work includes:

• Specialized training in freshwater mussel/freshwater snail ID
• Volunteering with Little Forks Conservancy and Chippewa Nature Center
• Training in MSU Extension's Conservation Stewards Program
• Training in MSU Extension's Naturalist Program
• Serving as a volunteer Vernal Pool Monitor for MNFI

Additional things I've been working on include:

• Invasive Species ID
• Tree ID
• Insect ID
• Educational booklet/brochure design

From a young age, my grandmother imparted in me a love of plants. Now, I volunteer at the Chippewa Nature Center and Phoenix Community Farm, and have a few gardening certifications.

My specialties are in growing vegetables and native plants. If you need assistance designing a garden, you are welcome to reach out!

I have a degree in Music Composition and I continue to write music to this day. If you need custom music or audio, reach out!

Additionally, I am a producer with Midland Community Television, which allows me to produce, record, and publish videos and podcasts to the local TV station. I haven't made anything yet, but am interested in doing that one day!
